Asos's online and mobile site's were unable to cope with the immense surge of sale shoppers after a technical error, which left the online retailer unable to process orders placed on Sunday, December 28 for several hours.

On one of the busiest days for shopping post Christmas, the online fashion giant sites struggled to keep up with the demand after launching it's Boxing Day sale. Although shoppers were able to browse through Asos's site and view the 50 percent off sale, many shoppers who tried to place an order were met with an error message reading: “We can't find that page or something has gone wrong.”

Many customers took to social media platforms such as Twitter to voice their sentiments concerning the online retailer's temporarily glitch and ask for clarification:

However Asos 'Here to Help' team was quick to respond to a number of complaints, assuring customers that the site is now up and running smoothly once more. This glitch comes after a year of technical errors at the online retailer, which has lead to the downslide of its share price of close to 60 percent. The latest online error appears to have hit the retailer's share price once more:

Asos was also struck by a major fire at its warehouse in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, this June, which disrupted and hindered orders for several weeks.
