Everyone’s favorite shoe designers had the lady at the alter saying her vows in mind when they came together to create a capsule collection for Dubai’s Level Shoe District. Nicholas Kirkwood, Aquazurra, Dsquared2, Gianvito Rossi, Paul Andrew, Rupert Sanderson, Sophia Webster, and Aennis Eeunis have all created exclusive bridal heels for Dubai’s famous retailer. The collaboration has resulted in 20 styles, some of which will be available for special order, so before you think you need to take out a second mortgage payment and max out your credit card to go hop on a plane to Dubai and invest in a pair of 15,000 dollar heels, you can have them special ordered.

For a collection this luxurious they were going to have to find some way to make it accessible to the luxury loving masses. For designers like Kirkwood, this was his first time working with semi-precious stones and jewelry, and creating a sandal adorned with 600 Arabian pearls is no easy feat. Hence the five figure price tag, which is totally worth it, even though you could also get two Chanel jackets and a Burberry purse for that price, but how many people get to walk around with Arabian pearls on their feet.

While many of these designers have quite a reputation for creating fabulous heels, for some this was their first time ever diving into the realm of bridal wear. The remarkably talented Sophia Webster, whose shoes are known for being hot commodities at Saks Fifth Avenue, wasn’t married at the time she designed that collection, but with talent like hers you have no problem improvising. “As the collection was being brought to life, I imagined all sorts of women slipping into shoes and feeling like a princess for that special day. With that in mind, I wanted to use really feminine touches like satin uppers, crystal heels and gemstones, all in delicate tones that would work with classic dresses and accentuate the look,” Webster was quoted saying in Women’s Wear Daily.

For those luxury loving ladies who may have their sights set on an international wedding, Dubai might just be the perfect choice. Brides in the UAE spend an average of 80,000 dollars per wedding, so how about forsaking that dream wedding you had in mind at the Woldorf Astoria for a little international fun? With bridal always being so major this collection has plenty of potential to be a global force and continue on for quite some time. It could easily be coming to a luxury retailer near you soon, but, until then, be thankful for FedEx and luxury goods being willing to accommodate their elite clienteles needs.
