Pacific Global Management (PGM), the holding company of La Perla and Elite World has appointed John Hooks as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the group. He would also hold the post of Executive Chairman of the World Elite and will be on the board of directors of La Perla.

With the company expecting to achieve a revenue target of over 300 million euros (332.5 million dollars), Hooks, along with Stefania Valenti, CEO of Elite World and Silvio Scaglia, Executive Chairman of La Perla, will focus energies on expanding the group’s presence. Hooks and Valenti, in particular, will develop the business of the holding in areas adjacent to model management, such as licensing, marketing and further enhancing social reach.

After graduating in 1978 from Oxford University, Hooks began his career with Gruppo Finanziario Tessile (GFT) in Turin, where he held management positions of increasing roles, working for brands such as Giorgio Armani, Pierre Cardin, Claude Montana, Emmanuel Ungaro and Valentino. From 1988 to 1994, he moved to Hong Kong to open regional branches of GFT in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Australia and China.

In 1995, he joined Jil Sander in Hamburg, as commercial and retail director and then joined Giorgio Armani in 2000, as group commercial and marketing director, before being appointed in 2009 vice president of Armani Group. Hooks moved to Ralph Lauren in 2011, where until 2014 he served as the group president of Ralph Lauren Europe and Middle East. He is currently non-executive director of Manchester United and a member of the board of Miroglio Fashion.
