Positive Luxury, the London-based company behind the Butterfly Mark, a global seal of approval for luxury lifestyle brands, is expanding its operations to the US with the appointment of a American-based advisory board.

Comprised of five experts from within the field of responsible business, the advisory board will assist the company with its expansion plans in the US market, as well as provide continuous insight and expertise across all industries and notable topics, as well as supporting Positive Luxury’s US managing director Susan McPherson who is based in New York.

The panel features: Jeannette Ferran Astorga, vice president of corporate social responsibility at Ann Inc; Andrea Pinabell, vice president of sustainability at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide; Margaret Coady, executive director of CECP, founded in 1999 as the Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy; Patricia Jurewicz, founder and director of Responsible Sourcing Network (RSN), a project of the non-profit As You Sow; and Andrew Winston, founder of Winston Eco-Strategies.

Diana Verde Nieto, CEO and co-founder of Positive Luxury, said: “The advisory board sits at the heart of Positive Luxury’s engine, ensuring we are consistently encouraging luxury lifestyle brands to go beyond compliance and strive to be the best they can be. We have received an incredible reception so far in the US and predict our community will grow as rapidly as in the UK.”
