Boohoo.com revenues rise 35 percent

Boohoo.com, for the three months ended May 31, 2015 reported revenue rise of 35 percent, with gross margin of 60.6 percent. The company claims to have 3.3million active customers, an increase of 32 percent on prior year. It also reported continued strong performance in the rest of the world, with its Spring/Summer campaigns receiving positive response.

Commenting on the development, joint Chief Executives Mahmud Kamani and Carol Kane said, “We continue to build boohoo.com for the long term and our clear objective is to deliver sustainable future growth. Our investments in the warehouse are on track and we plan to begin partial utilisation of the warehouse extension from July.”

Sales in the UK were up 27 percent in the quarter. International sales grew strongly and now represent 36 percent of group sales. Rest of Europe sales increased by 27 percent and growth in the rest of world segment accelerated to 66 percent during the quarter.
