French designer Isabel Marant is reportedly in talks with French investment fund Montefiore to sell her namesake fashion label. The sought-after brand is currently valued at circa 300 million euros.

After decades of being independent, Isabel Marant could be looking to sell a majority stake in her namesake label.

As reported over the weekend by French journal ‘Les Echos’, Sophie Duruflé, the brand's managing director, and Nathalie Chemouny, the third partner in Marant's business, will retain the remaining 49 percent alongside Marant.

Montefiore Investments to buy 51 percent of Isabel Marant

The entrance of Montefiore in the company’s capital would allow the fashion brand to accelerate its development.

Popular with the American public and a staple in every fashionista’s wardrobe around the world, 80 percent of Isabel Marant’s turnover is generated in international markets. The company generated 150 million euro in turnover in 2015.

Isabel Marant would be the only fashion label within Montefiore's investment portfolio, which currently includes a budget hotel chain, a car rental broker, a vending machine operator and more.
