Morgan Stanley and Goldman raise ratings on URBN

Analysts at Morgan Stanley have recently restated their ‘buy’ rating on shares of Urban Outfitters, Inc. (NASDAQ:URBN) in a research note issued to investors on Friday.

On Friday the stock opened at 26.32 dollars apiece, below the company’s 50-day moving average (28.64 dollars) and its 200-day moving average of 26.80 dollars.

Urban Outfitters has a 12 month low of 19.26 dollars and a 12 month high of 36.99 dollars, while its market cap currently stands at 3.08 billion dollars,

In agreement with analysts covering the stock at Morgan Stanley are their peers at Goldman Sachs, who also reaffirmed their recommendation to buy shares of the teen apparel retailer in a note to investors issued also on last Friday.

Urban Outfitters last issued its earnings results on May, 18 when it reported 0.25 dollars earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter, hitting the consensus estimate of 0.25 dollars and maintaining the previous year same quarter’s EPS.

On a positive note, the company earned 762.58 million dollars during the quarter, taking the retailer’s revenue for the period up by 3.2 percent compared to the same quarter last year.

Equities research analysts anticipate that Urban Outfitters will post 1.95 dollars earnings per share for the current year.
