In the second quarter of 2015, the Tom Tailor Group achieved a like-for-like sales increase of 1.9 percent with its two umbrella brands Tom Tailor and Bonita. In the first half-year of 2015, the company increased its like-for-like sales by 2.2 percent.

In the second quarter, Tom Tailor brand improved it’s like-for-like sales compared to the weak first quarter decline of 3.9 percent and recorded an increase of 1.4 percent. The strong dynamic in June made a particular contribution to this performance. However, like-for-like sales during the first six months were still 0.8 percent below the previous year.

Bonita also grew in the second quarter and increased its like-for-like sales by 2.3 percent. After the negative sales figures of the previous year, Bonita once again posted a positive sales growth for the first half of 2015: on a like-for-like basis, sales went up by 4.5 percent.

“In a challenging market environment, the Tom Tailor Group again held its ground in the retail business and bucked the market trend by growing like-for-like sales. Thereby, Tom Tailor returned to its growth trajectory and Bonita generated a positive like-for-like sales increase for the second quarter in succession,” commented Dieter Holzer, Chief Executive Officer of Tom Tailor Holding.

The company will publish the complete report on the first half of the year on August 11, 2015.
