Tomais Maier, creative director of Bottega Veneta, has brought his latest incarnation of his "Art of Collaboration" initiative to Beijing in a new exhibition running through June 28 at the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art.

Through the "Art of Collaboration" project, Maier has come together with a number of photographers and visual artists to collaborate on the Italian luxury label's campaign. Some of the work featured comes from people including Nan Goldin, Stephen Shore, Philip-Lorca DiCorcia, David Armstrong, Lord Snowdon, Tina Barney, Ryan McGinley, Collier Schorr, Alex Prager, and Ralph Gibson. Last year, Maier published a book of the campaigns with Rizzoli.

Photos from the project have already been seen at Bottega Veneta stores in Milan, Madrid, and Tokyo, but this is the first time they've been on display in an art gallery.

“Photography is one of my passions in life, and it has been very interesting for me to use photography to broaden the impression of what Bottega Veneta means today,” said Maier to WWD at an opening event for the exhibit. “I wanted to use the campaigns to express a wider idea of creativity and craft that Bottega Veneta stands for, beyond the normal bounds of fashion.”
