Denim Première Vision has returned to Paris after hosting its previous five editions in sunny Barcelona . The denim trade fair took place once more at the Paris Event Center, located at the Porte de la Villette on November 2 and 3.

This season saw Denim Première Vision take another step forward in its ongoing development with the introduction of a new program and image ahead of its 10 year anniversary, taking place in 2017. Under the new slogan "Tommorow is Calling", the denim trade event unveiled its refreshed promotional campaign featuring key influencers from Generation Z, who are coming together to radically overturn established practices.

The trade show's return to Paris was well received by industry insiders, which saw 80 exhibitors, including weavers, manufacturers, launderers and finishers come together and welcome visitors from over 20 countries and share their products. Denim Première Vision also expanded its trend area this season, focusing on offering its visitors a fresh new look for Spring/Summer 2018 season by sharing 4 key fashion stories.

The denim trade fair also launched its Première Vintage Market in collaboration with Italian Denim Boulevard - a new space which featured over 1,500 vintage garments from workwear, military and civilian wardrobes to serve as a point of inspiration and offer visitors a unique shopping experience.

Another new initiative this season was the 'Share & Shake' denim sessions, which saw the trade fair team up with Sportswear International to explore the industry's latest innovations and future changes. Denim Première Vision was founded in 2007 in Paris. The first edition of the bi-annual denim trade show took place at La Halle Freyssinet. However, after 7 years in Paris, the trade show organizers decided to move the event to Barcelona. Although the five editions in Fira de Barcelona, Montjuic, were described as successful by the organization, the organization announced in July that Denim Premiere Vision would return to its home town.

Some say it was a strategic move, based on the waning interest in the trade fair and fashion market in Spain. The last edition in Barcelona saw 95 exhibitors share their collections and drew in 3803 visitors.
