Balenciaga has a new logo, one, fascinatingly enough, inspired by public signage. The brand's creative director Demna Gvasalia is no stranger to finding logo inspiration in everyday things. The logos for their fall/winter 2017 were inspired by Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders campaign logo for his 2016 presidential primary bid.

In a statement from the brand, they said the new logo will debut on Sunday during their spring/summer 2018 Paris Fashion Week runway show.

“Conceived in-house, the development process was inspired by the clarity of public transportation signage. The result is a visually shortened logo which gives a simple, bold stamp to the timeless deluxe Balenciaga signature,” the statement read.

Last week, Balenciaga opened their new boutique on * Avenue Montaigne**. According to Kering's first quarter report, the brand is seeing marked acceleration.
