The British Fashion Council’s 2010 Colleges Council Graduate Preview Day took place at the Royal Institute of British Architects in W1 last week.

This annual event brings industry insiders from media, recruitment, retail, design, manufacturing, sales, marketing and PR together to preview the work of graduating students who will be entering the job market later in the year.

The winning colleges included the University of Salford who won the Drapers College portfolio award in association with BFC, the BFC Illustration award went to Kingston University and the WGSN digital presentation award went to the London College of Fashion.

The panel, judging the 27 exhibiting colleges' portfolios, was headed by Chair of the Colleges Council Anne Tyrrell and also included Lauretta Roberts, Digital Development Director of WGSN; Ana Santi, Commissioning Editor of Drapers; Anita Barr, Buying Director of Womenswear for Selfridges; and Todd Lynn. Now in its 16th year, the BFC Colleges Council aims to develop links between Britain's top fashion colleges and the industry.
