CFDA nominates Dries van Noten

The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) announced the nominations of their annual Fashion Awards. Belgium designer Dries van Noten will be among the lucky ones, on June 2 he'll receive the International Award. This prize is especially for foreign, non-American designers who contributed great creativity to the industry. Diane von Furstenberg, chairman of the CFDA who is also from Belgium, announced Van Noten’s nomination.
Other nominations include Francisco Costa (Calvin Klein), Lazaro Hernandez & Jack McCollough (Proenza Schoulder) and Marc Jacobs for 'Womenswear Designer of the Year Award'. Michael Bastion, Thom Browne en Tom Ford are named for the ‘Menswear Designer of the Year Award'. Tony Burch, Marc Jacobs en Michael Kors are competing for the 'Accessory Designer of the Year Award'.
