On June 18th, American fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg will present her Cruise/Pre-Spring 2008 collection in Florence, Italy. The fashion show will officially launch the Pitti W_Woman Pre collection.
“When Pitti invited me to Italy, I thought it a perfect opportunity to present my collection in Europe. As the brand expands globally and the travel element develops, the time was right. I began my career in Italy, and it’s wonderful to be back,” says von Furstenberg.
The show will be held outdoors, in the 19th century Torrigiani Gardens, which are privately owned and have never been opened to the public. Following the show, Diane Von Furstenberg and Pitti W will host a picnic dinner for guests in the gardens. Diane von Furstenberg was founded in 1972 by the designer and is renowned for its iconic wrap dress and signature prints, DVF has grown into the global luxury lifestyle brand known today. Its distinct collections are sold in over 56 countries and in 22 namesake retail boutiques worldwide.
