Diane von Furstenberg to teach a MasterClass

Known for her premier designs, it seems Diane von Furstenberg is passing the torch. For the first time, the designer will be teaching a MasterClass for individuals on how to build a fashion brand.

The online platform announced on May 4 that the iconic designer would be teaching her very own class. This online class will teach students how to test their product, create a visual identity, and how to differentiate themselves from the crowd. Additionally, Furstenberg will share her wisdom on making a name in the fashion industry as well as building a core team. "I am grateful for the opportunity to teach this MasterClass and to share my knowledge, my experience, successes and failures," said Diane von Furstenberg. "It is a class about building a fashion brand but it is also about designing your life."

MasterClass has partnered with Furstenberg because of her proven experience in business and fashion. "Diane is an amazing teacher and mentor. She not only teaches how to design and build a fashion brand, but she shares business and life lessons that apply to everyone," said David Rogier, MasterClass chief executive officer and co-founder. The class will be available for students to take in the summer. The class will include a workbook, 17 video lessons, and office hours with Furstenberg. The class is currently available for pre-order but will not begin until this summer.
