Estee Lauder launches new Donny Karan fragrance

Estée Lauder is to introduce Donna Karan Essence, a collection of four oil scents, this October. The designer's aim: "To present a single note as nature intended it so you can really experience the true beauty of its essence."

The idea of the collection is to allow women to create their own fragrances in a mix and match or layering of the scents, according to the brand. The essences are lavender, jasmine, wenge wood and labdanum oils, which were chosen by the designer.

In the US , the Essence collection will launch in October in all Donna Karan stores and select Neiman Marcus department stores. It will also launch in October in the UK exclusively at Harvey Nichols department store. The last fragrance launched by the brand was Black Cashmere, in 2003.
