Falke buys Burlington

International clothing company Falke KGaA has announced it has bought the Burlington trademark rights from the American Burlington Industries LLC, Greensboro, N.C. The fashion company acquired the rights to manufacture and distribute clothing, leather goods and jewellery within and outside Europe under the Burlington trademark.
Within the Falke Group, Burlington will remain as an independent trademark and it will keep its recognisable tartan logo. The owners of the Falke Group, Franz-Peter and Paul Falke added: “The Burlington brand fits perfectly into our portfolio. Beside the obvious synergies we see an enormous development potential”.
Franz-Peter and Paul Falke manage the Falke Group in the fourth generation; Franz Falke-Rohen intercepted the company in 1895. The business achieved an annual turnover of about 195.5 million Euro’s and employs around 2.500 people worldwide.
