Inditex' further increase

Spanish fashion company Inditex pre-tax profits increased with 393 million Euros over the past six months of this year, which is 33% more in comparison to previous year. The proceeds of the Spanish fashion business went up with 19%, from 3.48 billion Euros in the first half of last year and increased with 4.12 billion Euros in the second half. The growth is mainly caused by the expansion of the amount of shops. In the beginning of this year Inditex launched 205 new shops. Without the consideration of the new stores, the profits went up with 7%. Currently the company, which also looks after Zara, Berschka and Massimo Dutti, has 3.336 shops spread over 66 countries.

Of all companies, Zara is the main earning source to Inditex. The Spanish fashion company opened 51 new Zara branches, which brings the total to 1.041 shops. Due to the launches of new shops, Zara’s profit went up with 15% and 2,6 billion. The trendy fashion shop’s formula is responsible for 64,4% of the total takings.

With the opening of 25 new shops, Pull and Bear's total branches comes down to 492. Bershka expanded with 23 stores, which makes to total 456. With the opening of 5 new stores, Massimo Dutti's shops went up to 404. Most of the new stores were launched in Europe and Asia.

The profits gained in foreign counties are responsible for 62% of all proceedings. The European takings, without calculating the Spanish market come down to 41%. The brutomarge went up from 54,9% to 55,7%. Over the past few months the Inditex group took 10.109 new employees on board and has 72.377 employees working for them in total.
