The athletic shoewear brand New Balance is celebrating its 110th anniversary. In conjunction with the celebration, New Balance will also be releasing a new pair of shoes uses surplus materials, using a green solution for production.

The company will be releasing the New Balance MiUK Surplus Pack, made in New Balance’s U.K. factory. The collection will consists of five classic styles including New Balance’s 575, 576, 577, 670, 1500. However, there will also be a new pair of shoes created solely for this collection entitled the 991.5. This pair is a mix between two other styles of New Balance’s iconic silhouettes. Combining elements from both the 1500 and 991 styles, the new shoe is modernized with a fresh, new design. All of the shoes in the collection, according to Footwear News, will use the factory’s surplus material for production. For exclusivity, out of this collection, only 1,906 pairs of each style will be released.

This isn’t the first time that New Balance has released a new shoe silhouette in tandem with an anniversary. In 2014, the brand launched two versions of its 577 shoe, in order to celebrate that specific shoe model’s 25th anniversary. While celebrating the entire brand’s anniversary, it makes sense that the collection includes more styles. The new shoes ollection will be made available in two installments. The first New Balance Surplus Pack will launch this week on September 3. The first drop includes styles 99.5, 670, and 576. However, the second launch will be later in the month debuting on September 24. The remaining styles 577, 1500 and 575 will be made available for shoppers.
