London - Pull & Bear, the younger sister label to Zara, has launched its first range of own-branded beauty and cosmetics under the name ‘Hey Beauty!’ The Spanish retailer unveiled the affordable beauty collection in stores and online earlier this week.

The debut line includes core beauty products such as nail polish, lipsticks and eyeshadows as well as hand creams, lip balms and facial masks. In line with Inditex’s own production model, all products have been made in Spain or Italy. Prices for the collection range from 3.99 pounds for nail polish to 7.99 for liquid eyeliner.

In order to promote its first beauty line among its core consumers, Pull & Bear has launched an editorial campaign made by Mexican artist Anairam, which stars a host of young models, such as Hyun Ji Shin, Stella Daskalakis and Inga Dezhina.

The launch of ‘Hey Beauty!’ sees Pull & Bear following in the footsteps of fellow sister brand Bershka, which released its first beauty collection earlier this year. The move comes as parent company Inditex seeks to diversify its brands offering by expanding their product ranges into new categories. Other mass-market retailers who recently moved into beauty by launching their own in-house collections include Boohoo, Forever 21 and Asos.
