Brit indie quartet The Rumble Strips take over Topman CTRL for the month from 1st June 2009. The band will take over from Lightspeed Champion who played at The Great Escape festival in Brighton including acts such as Evan Dando and British Sea Power. The Rumble Strips will make their mark on CTRL with their insights into new music and all the other cultural addictions that inform their world. They will also offer an exclusive download of their cover of 'Tease Me' by Chaka Demus and Pliers on the Topman CTRL Myspace profile page. The CTRL takeover coincides with The Rumble Strips latest single and the release of their highly anticipated album ‘Welcome to the Walk alone’ produced by Mark Ronson.

The artists handpicked by The Rumble Strips to play at Cardiff’s CLWB IFOR BACH include London psychedelic indie-pop trio Golden Silvers, unconventional pop foursome Everything Everything, and dance quartet My Tiger My Timing (produced by Hot Chip). Meanwhile The Rumble Strips will be DJing throughout the night.

Topman CTRL is an ongoing monthly series in which innovative, edgy and emerging musical talent take control of Topman’s music programme and reveal their personal artistic passions, culminating in special live event.
