Vogue US on Friday hosted the publication’s first conference entitled “Forces of Fashion.”

The purpose of the conference was to unite the world’s most talented designers engaged in a series of intimate and informative dialogues with its editors. According to Vogue, the dialogues were “no holds barred conversations and nothing was off the table; everything about what it means to be designing and working in 2017 was up for discussion.”

The conference saw a series of panels throughout the day, with some of the most important creators in the contemporary fashion industry. Among the names were John Galliano, Stella McCartney, Marc Jacobs, Demna Gvasalia, Virgil Abloh and Rihanna.

Introducing the conference, Anna Wintour stated: "We wanted to do something different, and that spoke about today's world, and to the collective desire for experiences," said the publication’s chief officer.

The price for attending the conference? 3,000 dollars, although some tickets were discounted, for students, and others, given by the various brands. To participate, a mix of students, fashion enthusiasts and general public were able to send their questions to the speakers in real time via sms.
