Cindy L. Davis and Brian A. Spaly have been appointed to Deckers Brands’ board of directors, the company announced in a statement. Deckers Brands’ portfolio includes Ugg, Koolaburra, Hoka One One, Teva and Sanuk.

Davis was vice president at Nike Inc. between 2008 and 2014, and US general manager at Nike Golf from 2005 to 2008. She helped turning the golf segment into a 800 million business for Nike. Prior to working at the sportswear giant, Davis worked as senior vice president of golf sponsorships, sports marketing and new media at Golf Channel, a subsidiary of Comcast, between 2001 and 2004. “I very much look forward to working with the board and management team to continue to drive profitable results, build shareholder value, and deliver on the exciting potential of the company’s premium brands”, said Davis.

Spaly works as executive chairman at Tecovas, a boots brand from Texas. He also co-founded Trunk Club, a personal styling startup acquired by Nordstrom in 2014, and Bonobos, a menswear brand bought by Walmart last year. In addition to Deckers Brands, Spaly serves on the board of five other companies, including Veryable, Happy Returns, M1 Finance, Tribe 9 Foods, Luxury Garage Sale and Tecovas. “I am thrilled to join the Deckers board of directors”, stated Spaly. “These are iconic brands that I wear and love”.
