Marks & Spencer CFO to join in April

Marks & Spencer has confirmed that its new chief financial officer Helen Weir will take up her position on April 1, following her appointment last November.

Weir joins the retailer from the John Lewis Partnership where she served as chief financial officer, prior to that she was group executive director for retail at Lloyds Banking Group. She was also previously group finance director of Kingfisher and finance director of B&Q.

Weir succeeds former chief finance officer Alan Stewart who left Marks & Spencer to join Tesco.
