Mulberry names new non-exec director

Luxury fashion brand Mulberry has named Julie Gilhart as a non-executive director.

Gilhart is a freelance fashion consultant who has advised clients including Amazon.com and LVMH. Previously, she spent 18 years in various roles at Barneys New York, most recently as fashion director. Her current board positions include Outerknown and Parsons/New School.

Mulberry executive chairman, Godfrey Davis, said: "I would like to welcome Julie to the board and look forward to her bringing her considerable fashion and brand experience to bear as we continue to build Mulberry into a global luxury brand."
