In honour of the Copenhagen Fashion Summit, eco-conscious Swedish fashion label Filippa K transformed its store on Ny Østergade 13 to showcase its vision for a sustainable fashion future.

The renewed store, open from May 11 to May 15, shares the brand's initiatives to become a circular fashion system. The store highlights Filippa K's Collect initiative, which encourages consumers to bring in their old or unwanted Filippa K pieces in exchange for discount, using the items for either recycling efforts or reselling them at their second hand store; it's Lease initiative, which allows customers the freedom to lease any outfit for up to 4 days for 20 percent of the original price; and the Care initiative, in which Filippa K share knowledge on how to care for garments to make them last longer.

"In a circular fashion world, our wardrobe is curated in a whole new way," said Elin Larsson, Sustainability Director, Filippa K. "We will have a mix of new, long-lasting, pieces and second hand. Leasing clothes will also become more common as a way of updating the wardrobe. We believe that the future fashion store will center around a circular mindset rather than the existing linear one." Customer also stand the chance of winning a curated wardrobe worth 1,000 euros if they share a photo of a Filippa K ambassador walking around town, wearing a jacket with the one of the phrases: ”I’ve been around”, ”Love me or leave me”, ”Treat me right” and ”You don’t own me”.
