Retail

The innovative pioneer of sustainable retail Lone Design Club (LDC) is to open one of its unique concept stores in Hammerson’s flagship destination Cabot Circus, in Bristol. Like no other pop up that has opened in Bristol, the immersive fashion and lifestyle concept store will provide the ultimate festive shopping experience, with high quality, ethical and sustainable products personally showcased by designers in-store.

LDC encourages independent designers to actively take the reins of their small and independent brands by focusing on selling direct, building relationships, and understanding their customers' needs and wants. It provides designers with both marketing and retail support, as well as the opportunity to be part of a larger community. All of the designers that work with LDC can also sell their products on its website.

Each LDC concept store is unique. As well as a fantastic range of products, the new store will offer one on one appointments and personal styling sessions with the designers, and there will also be a launch event on the store’s opening night. The pop-up will be open in Cabot Circus' landmark Quakers Friars piazza from 11 to 17 December.

Iain Mitchell, UK Commercial Director at Hammerson, said: “Bristol is home to a number of exciting designers and independent brands, so I’m sure the Lone Design Club pop-up will go down really well. LDC not only provide a unique and immersive in-store experience for consumers, they also give some of the UK’s finest independent designers the opportunity to reach a new audience. Pop-ups like this one are a great way for our destinations to deliver a fresh and exciting experience for consumers, and to test out new concepts and ideas. This store will be a perfect spot for some gift shopping in the lead up to Christmas!”

Alice McAnulty, U.K. Operations & Growth at Lone Design Club, said: "I am so excited to be taking Lone Design Club to Bristol, mixing a selection of our loyal London brands and some amazing local brands. Bristol seems like the perfect place to spread the story of Independent brands and how they are making a difference in the fashion industry. We are thrilled to be working with Hammerson on this venture."

Cabot Circus recently announced that leading consumer electronics brand Samsung is to open in the destination next year, and it has also revealed that D&D London is to launch a new 13,000 sq ft restaurant and events venue within Quakers Friars Piazza. The new location will be D&D’s first site in the South West.
