Fashion brand Helmut Lang will launch its first European freestanding store in London.

On the first of September the boutique will open its doors to the public.

The Helmut Lang store will be located on Westbourne Grove in Notting Hill and is set over 800sq ft. The store will feature AW11 collection designed by Creative Directors Nicole and Michael Colovos on the backdrop of natural materials. The minimal designs are inspired by the art works of Jaap de Vries and layering different materials.

Set up in 1986, Austrian born fashion designer Helmut Lang established the name in the 90s with his visionary designs. In 1999 the Prada Group partnered with Lang after which it was acquired by Prada five years later. Lang has not been has not been involved with the brand since 2005. A year later the company was sold to Link Theory of Japan, which relaunched the label with new designers in 2007.
