Henrietta Ludgate has announced the opening of her first

concept store and fully functional studio at Whiteley’s in London’s Bayswater. The Scottish designer’s minimalist approach utilises up-cycled and sustainable materials and she has been championed by the likes of Livia Firth, Laura Bailey, Jimmy Choo and Roland Mouret.

Her first boutique opens on November 24 and will feature the entire collection of ready-to-wear and bespoke items, as well as allowing customers to view the artisans at work. Additionally, the space will also provide fashion workshops led by talented artists and designers. The store launch will be hosted by Laura Bailey and Livia Firth.

In 2010, Ludgate was awarded the ‘Fashion Innovation Award’ at London Fashion Week and in 2011 she won ‘Young Designer of the Year’ at the Scottish Fashion Awards.
