Debenhams appoints Terry Duddy as Non-Executive Director

Debenhams has roped in Terry Duddy as a Non-Executive Director on its board. Duddy is a non-executive director of Hammerson plc and Chair of the Retail Trust.

Commenting on Duddy’s appointment, Nigel Northridge, Chairman of Debenhams, said, “We are delighted to welcome Terry Duddy to Debenhams. He has had a long and distinguished career in retail and his experience and expertise will be a great addition to the board.”

Following its demerger from GUS in October 2006 until March 2014 Duddy was Chief Executive of Home Retail Group, having previously served as CEO of Argos since its acquisition by GUS in 1998. He previously held senior executive roles at Dixons Stores Group, latterly as MD at PC World.
