E-Pitti, the portal known of Florence-based trade producer Pitti Imagine, launched with FieraDigitale in 2011, will now be adding trend analysis services. The new trend analysis service was made available through a team effort between E-Pitti and and Turin-based company Nextatlas. Nextatlas proved themselves to be quite the simple geniuses of fashion.

They created a system based on algorithms, which can analyze data from social media channels such as Instagram, Twitter, and Tumblr, to highlight the most hot topic trends all over the world. This will help E-Pitti's users, who are mainly buyers, have access to a cornucopia of regularly updated moodboards that will help to make their job of selecting the most on trend fashions much easier. "We are at the first stage of a path aimed at getting deeper and deeper into the analysis of data in order to give relevant information to professionals and this is possible only through the online,” Fiera Digitale CEO Francesco Bottigliero was quoted saying to WWD.

The job of a buyer is never easier, one item that is not so hot selected for stores could make an entire brand look bad for that season. By recognizing what are the most desired fashions around the globe half their job is already done for them. This type of data is also expected to heavily impact the future of trade shows as well, where buyers do most of their selections.

This year, E-Pitti will also partner with Decoded Fashion for the third time for an international summit on fashion, technology, and start-ups. A two day event will be hosted in Milan on November 17 and 18. There should be plenty of talk about as E-Pitti seems to be using technology to create a new era in fashion.

According to WWD, The January edition of Pitti Uomo’s digital trade show registered a 45 percent increase in the number of visitors, compared to the same period in 2014. FieraDigitale closed the fiscal year with revenues of 1.83 million dollars , and a net profit equal to 7 percent of revenues. The companies have found a new ticket to success, and what that is sure to revolutionize buying forever.
