Tom Tailor appoints Maik Kleinschmidt as VP Digitization

Tom Tailor Group has brought Maik Kleinschmidt on board to manage its online activities under the newly created position of Vice President Digitization. The company is pursuing the goal of digitizing all interfaces, service areas and information units, while at the same time driving forward further integration of online sales, stationary retail business and marketing.

Kleinschmidt will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Dieter Holzer from July 1, 2015. After completing his studies in Business Administration at the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel, Kleinschmidt started his career at management consultancy The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Hamburg. Over his twelve years as a consultant, he was responsible for a large number of marketing and sales projects on behalf of leading international fashion, retail and consumer-goods companies. During the years 2004 to 2006, he continued his academic career at the University of Hamburg by taking a doctorate on the subject of ‘Venture Capital, Corporate Governance and Enterprise Value’.

Since 2011, he has been a Principal of BCG with responsibility for various briefs relating to the development of brand, marketing, retail and sales strategies on behalf of international companies in the consumer-goods sector. He also assisted BCG in the development of its global digitization strategy.
