The first Scoop London, which coincided with London Fashion Week, has been praised as a success by the organisers who were delighted with the diversity of high-profile UK and overseas buyers the contemporary womenswear trade show attracted.

Held at the Saatchi Gallery, the three-day event was well received by exhibitors and visitors alike, with most praising the strong curated edit, which featured more than 180 international premium, directional and contemporary designer collections, including Kate Spade New York, Delage, A.M.A. Cashmere, Moka London, Lo La Le Paris, Ancient Greek Sandals, Aksha Fernandez, and Bella Freud.

Over the course of three days the trade show saw many UK buyers from the likes of Brown Thomas, Bernards, Feathers, Square, Anna’s, Selfridges and Net-A-Porter, as well as a raft of international buyers from Penelope, La Rinascente, Biffi and Banner from Milan, Colette from Paris, Le Bon Marche, Galeries Lafayette, Spree from Paris, Globus from Switzerland and United Arrows from Japan.

Commenting on the debut Scoop London, Karen Radley, founder and managing director of the show said: "I am delighted with the first edition of Scoop London, in particular the strength and quality of both UK and overseas buyers. We have curated our designer collections at Scoop London to represent a strong mix of designers from Japan and Korea and Europe with a strong contingent from Italy to provide cutting edge yet accessible collections for buyers.”

Debut Scoop London claimed a success

Radley added: “Ninety-five per cent of exhibitors were new to the show, and there was only a minimal crossover with Scoop in August, with most of these brands having showed their pre-collections at the August editions and their main lines at this time.”

Suzanne Burstein, owner of Feathers said: “The Scoop London dates work well for me as I am more ready now to do my buying than in August. Scoop London had an excellent selection of collections; every retailers should be looking forward and be always ready to try something new.”

The next edition of Scoop London takes place on from February 21-23, while Scoop will showcase autumn/winter 2016 collections from January 31 to February 2, both will be held at the Saatchi Gallery, London.
