Limited Brands sees sales increase

Limited Brands, the parent company of labels such as Victoria's Secret, La Senza and Henri Bendel,

reported an increase in sales for comparable stores sales of 9 percent for the four weeks ended Jan. 28, 2012, compared to 2011. The company reported net sales of $774.5 million for the four weeks, up from $772.6 million last year.

The company reported net sales of $3.515 billion for the fourth quarter compared to sales of $3.456 billion last year.

Total sales were negatively impacted by the sale of its third party apparel sourcing business in the beginning of November 2011.

The company expects to report adjusted fourth quarter earnings per share at the high end of its previous guidance of $1.42 to $1.46.
