Bench has launched transactional website in the US

as it looks to become a major fashion brand in the country.

The Manchester-based casual fashion brand said the site will not only provide a place for US customers to buy its clothing but will also engage customers through an eclectic mix of content and social media.

Developed by PushON, the site is built using a combination of Magento, the e-commerce platform, and WordPress, to deliver superior content and social media interaction.

Matt Jeans, head of e-commerce at Bench, explained: "The site is designed to help establish Bench as a major fashion brand in the US. It’s a market where many have tried and failed but already we are seeing this famous Manchester brand leave its mark. To have this impact the US market needed to be thoroughly researched so the website met challenging user experience and content objectives."

Simon Wharton, managing director of PushON, added: "The north American Bench website is a huge project that has seen us integrate our offering to create a site that attracts, engages and converts customers. Our development team have really blown us away thanks to their tireless pursuit of creativity and technical competency."
