French luxury goods group LVMH has named three promising

fashion designers from Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design as winners of its Grand Prix LVMH Scholarships.

The recipients Asad Rehman Khan, Nathaniel Christopher Lyles, and Mao Usami are from Central St Martins’ BA Fashion Womenswear and BA Fashion Knitwear courses, and each will have their full tuition and living expenses funded through their final year at the college.

This is the second year that the scholarship has been awarded to students of Central Saint Martins and the designers were chosen by a panel of representatives from Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy and the college for their professional potential, academic merit and financial needs.

Commenting on the scholarship, one of the students, knitwear designer Nathaniel Christopher Lyles said: "The Grand Prix LVMH Scholarship will allow me to push my ideas to the limit, to create a collection that takes on the fundamentals and traditions of knitwear and transform them into a fresh form.”
