From 13th to 16th January 2014, HKTDC Hong Kong Fashion

Week Fall/Winter 2014/15 will once again take place in conjunction with HKTDC World Boutique Hong Kong 2014 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Sprawled over 50,000 square meters, the two fairs will showcase the best of east and west and will cover all areas from sourcing to marketing and sales in the coveted Asian growth markets. While Hong Kong Fashion Week covers the complete fashion range from basics to made-to-measure, the World Boutique focuses on designer labels and international designer collections.

Three new areas to please customers

As a reaction to feedback from participants and changed market conditions, there will be three new exhibition areas in 2014: „Activewear“, „Packaging and Design“ and „Wool & Cashmere“. Those introduced in previous years, „Denim Arcade“, „Fashion Jewellery Feast“, „Infant & Children’s Wear“, „Men in Style“ and „Salon of Scarves and Shawls“ received positive feedback and will be back at the latest edition of the show. “Emporium de Mode” aims to attract visitors with exclusive collections and unusual designs; the popular „Fashion Gallery“ will showcase collections from Hong Kong and all over the world and the „Small Order Zone“ will take care of small quantities.

Among the highlights of the World Boutique Hong Kong 2014 are the “Fashion Extravaganza” on 13th January with top fashion shows and the announcement of the winners of the “Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers Contest” on 14th January.

Last year, Hong Kong Fashion Week saw 1,840 exhibitors from 25 countries and more than 38,000 international visitors; an increase by 14 percent compared to 2012. After China, India sent the largest exhibitor contingent to the fair, followed by Taiwan, Korea, Macau, Japan, Pakistan and Italy. Almost 80 percent of all exhibitors came from Asia, more than 10 percent from Europe and almost 6 percent from North America. At World Boutique Hong Kong this year, there were 271 exhibitors and 560 fashion labels.
