Warm weather sparks fashion demand at John Lewis

John Lewis has seen a growing demand for its fashion offer since the

weather took an upbeat this week.

The department store group's Director of Retail Services, Barry Matheson, stated: "A positive impact of the fine weather was seen most clearly in Fashions."

“Accessories such as sunglasses and sandals were in demand and our own brand fashion had a good week with linen ranges performing well,” he said.

The company has further been in the news as Sprucefield retail park near Lisburn is set to change ownership to become a new John Lewis outlet, in an expected 70 million deal. Sprucefield comprises of five retail units and has a total floor area of 230,000 square feet.
John Lewis
