Brighton’s Churchill Square shopping centre has launched a two-hour

‘store to door’ delivery service for two weeks as it looks to improve its customer offering.

The trial in partnership with same-day distribution company, CitySprint, will run during the centre’s busiest periods from Thursday to Sundays and will enable shoppers to pick a two-hour time slot for delivery of this shopping. The service will be available to visitors living within a 10-mile radius of the centre, allowing the trial to reach around 367,000 people.

Ed Jenkins, head of UK retail for Standard Life Investments, said: “The nature of retailing is changing which is why we’re constantly looking for new ideas to improve the experience of shoppers across our portfolio of centres.

“Our latest initiative is a simple yet effective service that allows customers to combine the experience of visiting Churchill Square with the convenience usually associated with online shopping, helping to drive retailer sales across the centre.”

Patrick Gallagher, chief executive of CitySprint, added: “We’re excited to be partnering with Standard Life Investments to provide a first of its kind solution in the retail space. We understand that consumer expectations are increasing every day and by working together we can offer visitors to Churchill Square even more convenience and flexibility.”
