British luxury label Belstaff has taken on Delphine Ninous as its new vice

president of women's wear design.

In the newly created role, Ninous will oversee the creative direction of all of the label's women's wear line and be in charge of the ongoing artistic development of the women's wear division at Belstaff. She is set to report directly to chief executive officer, Gavin Haig.

“Delphine is an experienced design leader, with both a strong artistic vision and a solid commercial track record in womenswear. She has experiences across a wide variety of design houses and also businesses of significant international scale, reaching from west to east,” said Haig.

“This unique mix of experience and vision will support Belstaff in its growth ambitions for the women’s side of the business.”

Ninous, who is set to begin her new role on October 27, joins the luxury label from Paul & Joe, where she held the position of design director for women's wear. Prior to her role at Paul & Joe, Ninous held design related positions at Comptoir des Cotonniers, Diane von Furstenberg, Isabel Marant and Christian Lacroix.

Her first collection for Belstaff will be for fall 2015 and is set to be presented during London Fashion Week next year February.
