Bread & Butter interested in opening trade fair in Seoul

Karl-Heinz Müller, director and founder of German trade show Bread & Butter

has more plans for the fashion fair. In an interview with Textilwirtschaft, Müller confirmed plans to bring the trade show to Seoul in the near future.

On Monday night, during the opening party of the 30th season of Bread & Butter, Müller stated that although details were not yet concrete, the trade show was currently looking at expanding its boarders to Asia and added that the event would be held in addition to Bread & Butter in Berlin and at other times, such as in September for example.

“There, the fashion seasons are different,” explained Müller during the interview, who sees Seoul as the “perfect city” to host a trade show in Asia. “It happens a lot and the location is more neutral than, say, Tokyo.” Exactly when the first edition of the trade show will take place has yet to be announced, as Müller adds: “this may take time – but it can also happen very quickly, [however] I would prefer it to happen this coming Autumn/Winter season.”
