International tradeshow Bread & Butter has announced

plans to introduce a womenswear concept for the first time at its spring 14 edition in July.

Announced at a press conference by fair director, Karl-Heinz Müller said that there will be several new innovations at the next edition, the main one being the addition of a womenswear hall, which will follow the role model of the current denim section, L.O.C.K. and the very successful retail concept of 14 oz. Berlin.

Further details of the concept and potential exhibitors are expected to be announced at a special presentation after the show.

Another notable change is that from next summer’s edition organisers are to introduce a fee for non-buyers who want to visit the exhibition, which will be invested in developing appropriate services.

Müller explained: "A tradeshow is a marketplace that first and foremost brings buyers, in this case our visitors and sellers, our exhibitors, together. Bread & Butter has become an international melting pot for the whole textile industry, but also for areas of interest beyond it.

“Today, numerous allied segments such as sourcing, production, marketing and advertising for example use Bread & Butter for their business purposes. Everybody is still welcome, but it is only fair if special interest visitors make an adequate contribution to the business that they do at Bread & Butter."
