French fashion house Dior is to take over luxury department store Harrods with a month-long

celebration, which will include window displays, installations and a pop-up cafe.

Taking place from March 16 to April 14, Dior will transform all 33 of Harrod’s windows with a "French Savior Fair and British charm" theme, that will include iconic London telephone boxes featuring limited edition Dior products and Royal Beefeaters in costumes designed by the house's creative director, Raf Simons.

The Parisian label will also make-over Harrods’ fourth floor into “the ultimate Dior experience”, where shoppers will be able to view a ‘Stars in Dior’ installation featuring dresses worn by the likes of Jennifer Lawrence, Marion Cotillard and Emma Watson, and visit nine separate pop-ups, reports WWD.

In addition, Dior will launch a temporary 50-seat cafe that will serve dishes such as lobster club sandwiches and Dior-illustrated cupcakes.

Marigay McKee, chief merchant at Harrods, told WWD: “Dedicated events such as this provide an exciting opportunity to highlight one brand throughout the store in a significant way. Desirable aspirational luxury is here to stay and dream investments are on most people’s wish lists.”
