Dr. Martens taps new CEO and CFO

British footwear label Dr. Martens is currently refreshing its senior management team with the appointment of a new chief executive
officer and chief financial officer, as David Suddens, the group's current CEO steps down to the role of non-executive chairman.Former president of outdoor's label Deckers, Steve Murray, is set to begin his new role as CEO at Dr. Martens in October. His previous roles include brand president at Urban Outfitters, President of Action Sports at VF Corporation and President of footwear brand Vans.
He will be joined by Henrik Holmark, who will take on the position of CFO towards the end of the year. Holmark joins Dr. Martens team from accessories label Pandora where he had been CFO since 2009.
“It’s one of the great, iconic footwear brands worldwide and in addition one of the most identifiable British brands across any product category," said Murray to Express.
"While the last few years have seen tremendous growth for Dr Martens I believe that many opportunities exist beyond the current channels, markets and product lines.”
