eBay to boost India's retailers

Ebay is joining forces with the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) to help its domestic retailers
use the internet to sell and boost their businesses.The two parties have signed a memorandum of understanding with the aim of educating and modernising Indian traders, with an e-commerce centre of excellence to be established, PTI reported.
"The nationwide campaign, to be jointly launched by CAIT and eBay, will enable Indian traders for retail exports through our platform to 201 countries and to 4,306 locations in India," said eBay India MD Latif Nathani.
eBay currently has around 45,000 traders in India while CAIT, which is associated with over 20,000 small trader associations in the country, has a base of 60 million traders.
