The upcoming edition of the Gallery International Fashion

Fair promises to set a number of impressive records. No less than 322 design driven brands will show their collections on the fair floor which has been expanded to accommodate stands over a surface area of 4200 m2. Yet that is far from all. As well as collections from the crème de la crème of the fashion world, the Gallery organisation promises to deliver a lively event complete with catwalk shows, concerts and culinary highlights. There is also the CPH Fashion Week that cleverly falls at the same time as the fair. In short: it is the week to visit the Danish capital of Copenhagen.

With names as Day Birger Mikkelsen, By Marlene Birger, Tiger of Sweden, Henrik Vibskov, Caren Wester and Peter Jensen the Gallery offers a good selection of brands, especially when it comes to Scandinavian design. As well as established brands, the fair floor offers space to young Scandinavian designers such as Stine Ladefoged, Gaia and Tabernacle Twins. During the upcoming winter edition the fair organisers welcome a number of new exhibitors including J Brand, adidas Slver, Humanoid, See by Chloe, Woolrich and Z by Zac Posen. In short: not lacking in inspiration!

Besides an impressive array of collections, Gallery offers a series of fashion highlights. The Royal Academy of Music, situated next to the fair terrain, forms the décor for no less than 10 spectacular catwalk shows and with a reputation to uphold, Gallery will undoubtedly enhance the quality of the shows. During the last 10 editions more than 100 fashion shows have paraded their wares, including such resounding names as Jill Sander, Marimekko, Preen, Peter Jensen, Anne Sofie Back and Minimarket. The organisation is keeping the participating brands to themselves for now but we can safely say that Finland, Germany, Sweden, Norway and Denmark will be represented on Gallery’s now famous catwalk.

Since fashion and lifestyle are inexplicably entwined, as well as having a number of spectacular concerts in store the Danish fair’s organisers provide innovative culinary highlights. The theme for this coming winter edition is the Organic Kitchen. Gallery was incidentally the first CO2-neutral fair, a trend which it will continue in February. Gallery will open its doors on February 2, 3 and 4 from 09:00 to 19:00. Entrance is free if you reserve in advance on: www.gallery.dk.
