Supermarket retailer, Asda is launching a capsule collection

with the 2011’s Graduate Fashion Week Gold Award winner, Rory Longdon, on November 21. The knitwear collection for George at Asda, designed by the Nottingham Trent University graduate, features ‘futuristic knits with studs and embellishments’ and will be on sale in selected stores and online at www.george.com.

To celebrate the collaboration, Graduate Fashion Week has confirmed that George at Asda will continue as the title sponsor for 2012. Next year’s event takes place from June 10-13 and will mark 21 years of showcasing graduate fashion.

Fiona Lambert, Brand Director at George commented, “We are delighted to be involved in Graduate Fashion Week for a second year.  It provides a fantastic showcase for the next generation of British creative talent and I am proud that we can support budding careers.  We discovered some really exciting graduates this year, some of whom have come to work alongside George’s team of in-house designers and buyers. George has always been passionate about fashion, and about speaking to graduates about the incredibly diverse array of career opportunities that exist in this fantastic industry. By being part of GFW again we continue our commitment to nurture and provide opportunities for new graduates in 2012.

I’m sure customers are going to love the collection and I’m delighted to give them the chance to buy limited edition pieces from a rising star. We are planning more collaborations and launches in the run up to this year’s event so watch this space.”
