J Crew to open third London store

American fashion retailer J Crew is stepping up its London expansion with the announcement that

it is to open a third London store in Brompton Cross this autumn.

This is on top of the already announced flagship on Regent Street, which is planned to open on November 1, and the men’s boutique on Lambs Conduit Street, which will open in October.

The Brompton Cross store will be dedicated to womenswear and will house limited-edition pieces from its upmarket J Crew Collection line, as well as its exclusive design partnerships with Comme des Garçons, Penelope Chilvers and Sex And The City stylist Patricia Field.

Commenting on the locations, J Crew chairman and chief executive, Millard Drexler, said: “I love that every neighbourhood throughout London has its own unique personality – it’s a lot like New York City in that way.

“After a lot of looking around and visiting various areas, we came across these two very different locations and knew – both were too good to pass up.”
