Kate Spade names first senior vice president of international

Kate Spade & Co, has tapped Roy Chan as its first senior vice president of international,

a newly created position.

In this new post, Chan will oversee the international expansion of Kate Spade New York, Kate Spade Saturday and Jack Spade as well as the strategic oversight of the labels. He will also be reporting directly to Craig Leavitt, CEO of Kate Spade.

Prior to joining the team, Chan was president of international at Jones Group. He has also served as acting CEO of Band of Outsiders, global chief operating officer of Japanese brand Evisu and held a number of senior position roles at Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger.

“We are continuing our rapid international expansion in regions including Asia, Latin America and Europe,” said Leavitt to WWD. “Roy will be a key part of our long-term goal to achieve two-thirds of our retail footprint outside of North America.”
