London Fashion Week designers who are showing on its first
day, Friday September 16th, will not be happy the Marc Jacobs show has been pushed back in New York. The designer is set to close the week, showing on Thursday evening, instead of his usual Monday evening time slot. While delaying the show "will allow Jacobs and his staff to make up for time lost this past weekend when the entire design and sample room staffs were scheduled to work before Hurricane Irene intervened," WWD wrote. However for London Fashion Week designers on schedule it means key press and buyers will not be attending their shows on Friday, due to commitments to see Marc Jacobs, an important advertiser and selling brand.
Having Marc show so late on Thursday will complicate the plans of those flying to London that afternoon for LFW.
